Some thoughts on my time abroad…

Sabbatical

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started”

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, but I’ve been busy getting started. On January 14th I officially left the corporate world to embark on a six month journey of travel through Asia, exploring entrepreneurship and continuing my masters. On the 16th, I landed in Cebu Philippines to meet my business partner for our launch in Asia
(awsi.ph if you’re interested to know more). The last 10 days have been a whirlwind, I can barely keep my head on straight. But I’m staying with an amazing family who overfeed me and tolerate my late night shenanigans. I’ve presented to Cebu’s top socialites and business men/women. And pulled a me and fell in and out of love on a five star resort.

Most importantly I’ve done everything on my terms. I create my own hours, choose when I want to sit in Cebu traffic and eat all the million types of pork Filipino’s have to offer, whenever I choose. But my favorite time spent so far has been with my amazing niece and nephew. Precious time that’s so hard to secure when you’re under the pressures of a 9 to 5.

Sabbatical

If the next six months are anything like the first 10 days, I’m in for an unforgettable sabbatical. Bring it on…
